November 16, 2019 – Margarita Simkin, Co-Founder and Chairwoman of INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing, is honored to be recognized during the 16th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Ms. Simkin received the Gold Stevie® award for “Female Executive of the Year in Canada”, as well as the Gold Stevie® award for “Most Innovative Woman of the Year in Manufacturing”.

Maor Vaknin is the Director of Finance at INKAS® Group of Companies – a leading conglomerate providing end-to-end solutions for institutions, corporations and individuals on a global scale. Mr. Vaknin is responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction at INKAS®, across all of its divisions. He plans, directs, and evaluates all operations of the financial department to align financial and business metrics in order to support business strategy and positive growth trajectory.

Mr. Vaknin has extensive accounting and financial management experience, with a strong background in financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, as well as budgeting & forecasting. He has previously served in roles such as Senior Finance Manager, Deputy Financial Director, and Regional Financial Controller. Through these roles, he gained substantial insight and experience working with various accounting teams country-wide, as well as with multi-national teams across the globe.

Prior to joining INKAS® Group of Companies, Mr. Vaknin worked for major corporations including John Deere, Deloitte, Lumenis, RCC Construction, Satin Flooring, and more. In each of these roles, he collaborated with banks, financial institutions external auditors, legal advisors, and consulting agencies.

Mr. Vaknin received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bar-Ilan University in 2008, and became a CPA in 2009. His education and business acumen have helped shape his overall expertise in financial strategies and direction.

INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing was proud to announce the 2019 winners of the INKAS® “Rising Star” Scholarships at the annual scholarship awards ceremony held this month at INKAS®’s corporate headquarters in Toronto. The scholarship recognizes outstanding post-secondary students who show promise and excellence in the Engineering and Business fields of study.

“We received an overwhelming number of applications from students all across Canada and the United States, and want to thank those who took the time to apply. The impressive applications made judging very difficult, but ultimately, two students stood out above the rest,” says INKAS® CEO David Khazanski, who had the honour of awarding the 2019 winners. “Congratulations again to our scholarship winners, and we wish them continued success in their academic and professional pursuits.”

The 2019 scholarships go to two students who have gone above and beyond in everything they do, despite the adversity they have had to overcome. INKAS® would like to congratulate Ms. Esther Lopez and Mr. Bhoowaneshwarsingh Jhurry. Ms. Lopez shows a promising future in the field of Business, and Mr. Jhurry shows great vision in Engineering.

On March 25th, INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing has received the Best International Business Award at the 2017 Chinese Canadian Entrepreneur Awards Gala held by ACCE, the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs. According to ACCE Judging Panel and Steering Committee, this is the first time in the Association history that a non-Chinese enterprise has been nominated and won the award.
